This is the first of what will, hopefully, be many reviews of stories that I and other authors have found interesting. These stories may or may not have been reviewed by Lunacy (if they have I'll try to note it, but I won't guarantee it) and will generally be based on the individual tastes of those who submit reviews for this site. I think I've found a new favorite story.
This story borrows on the premise of -Been There Done That- and runs a parallel story with the events of the episode. The issue at hand? Gabrielle loves Xena. The problem? Xena doesn't do Grrls. Good thing Xena has all that Time to work it out.
The author guides us through the turbulent waters of Xena's heart as she finds out the gut wrenching truth about Gabrielle and as she strives to find the truth of her own heart. The characterizations of Gabrielle and Xena are potent, sometime heartwrenching, sometimes sweet. New characters in the story add to the plot and provide interesting (and fun) twists to story. It is an easy read because the pacing flows naturally. You won't get lost reading this story, even though it plays with time sense.
This is an Alternative Story. It does have a few spicy scenes.
This is a story that is worth rereading. I recommend it.
