The War God Series

I was directed towards this series by a good friend of mine. She said something along the lines of "try it, you'll like it." I was somewhat ambivalent, but she was right. I really *did* like it. (THANKS Jessica!!) This series sweet, well written, consistent, sexy, romantic, daring, sometimes violent and scary, a rollercoaster of a good time, and you would never Guess who the protagonist are.

Well, at first.

After a little bit it becomes pretty darn obvious, and I mean that in a good way. *evil grin*

When I first started reading the series, I was thinking, "Yeah, right," but this epic set of tales just worms its way into your heart. The series develops the characters in new directions and *edible* takes on a whole new meaning. It has everything from comedy to sex to adventure. It's a different kind of ALT, coming from the *other* side of the spectrum. The great thing is that the series also brings in some of our fave characters from Hercules and X:WP and we are talking ALT in more ways than one!

I'd tell you more, but it would spoil, and this really shouldn't be spoiled. Give it a chance, read the first story and past. You may find yourself liking it, more than you ever expected. The stories may not be everyone's cup of tea, but they're definitely a fun read and the unique viewpoint certainly brought smiles to my lips.

One content alert: This is definitely for the NC17 crowd. Hope you enjoy the weekend read.
