Got a two Bad Xena's for you tonight! *YUM*

Learning The Ropes

by D. Joan Leib

This is one of those charming little tales that you *really* should not read at work! Set in modern day Harvard University, Uber-X Xenaida Tapper and Uber-G Gabrielle O'Connor are conducting an extra-curricular little experiment about....men, or more specifically, what men can be made to do and what they really want! Joan portrays a young Xena with one Tartarus of an attitude (bad to the bone!) and a sensitive young Gabrielle who is unconditionally in love with her brooding girlfriend, an intense and sexy dynamic. Throwing in an Uber Callisto, Ephiny, Herc, Iolus, Ares and Salmoneous for a little more fun makes this story extremely enjoyable, although readers faint-of-heart should be aware that the....uh.... extra-curricular activities are a little... "different" at times! Enjoy!

Resistance

Hankerin' for a bit of conquering? OH this is the piece for you. Xena the Conquerer is getting bored and wouldn't you know it, that Potedian troublemaker, Gabrielle seems to spice things up.

This is different from the H:TLJ episode its based on, but it's well worth the read. I actually skipped a lunch date (thanks MOM!) so I could finish reading the story before going to work. The writing is tight, the characters are way believable and I happen to adore Xena's "old friend." The story tugs at the emotions as well as provides a bit of titilation for the joy of the subtexters. I highly recommend this story.
