This story expands on Xena the Conqueror as seen in Armegeddon Now, Part 2.

Gabrielle is a prisoner in the dungeons and is brought before Xena after the conqueror reads a speech that the scribe wrote. The former warlord turned ruler finds herself intrigued by the young woman and finds an excuse to have her freed. Soon Xena is sneaking out of her castle to meet with her.

Excellent story. It is alt fic, but nothing explicit.

This story follows up the events in Forget Me Not.

Gabrielle thinks of all the pain that she has caused Xena and been through herself. The two have a late night discussion about it and their future together.

Great story but I can't seem to put into words what I would like to say about it, other than what I just wrote.
